Green Life Exhibition (Meraviglie verde natura)

This morning I was at the Triennale. There was Ross Lovegrove ( a famous designer) who held a lecture on Sustainability in design ... I could lose it?? Of course not! I must say it was an hour and a half (in English) quite interesting and full of good ideas.
But the Triennial is a magical place ... go there for a reason and eventually find many other interesting things to see!
I had already spotted an exhibition (which ends March 28) that, given my love for architecture, inspired me a lot, "Green life: building sustainable cities."
Well, I guessed that it would be interesting, but I did not think so ... let's say I went out quite euphoric. And the reason is that I saw exhibited projects that I thought could exist only in my imagination and ... instead they are real!
First, because of this show. Why Europe has launched in all respects its environmental challenge by stating that all buildings built from 2020 will be "Nearly zero buildings", or they must have an environmental impact as close as possible to zero (ie, energy consumption and should seek budget). For public authorities that the deadline is early 2018. Booyah! But if it were up to me imporrei to build autonomous buildings in terms of energy early as next year ... but maybe it is I who am a little drastic and impulsive! :)
It 's true, everyone has to play its part in combating waste (energy and not only) but if prevention is better than cure, then it should just be a good example architecture.
Indeed it is precisely in this direction we are moving.

An example is Solar City in Linz, a ecoquartiere architecture designed by big names such as Norman Foster, Renzo Piano (Italian pride!) And Thomas Herzog (that of Tate Gallery) in which 3000 people live. Energy consumption is about 36 kwh per square meter and installed solar cover half the energy needed to heat water ... Also the designers have paid particular attention to reducing the need for polluting means of transport (eg car) creating an efficient public transport system, obviously with the presence of bike paths ... and there is also a nearby pond because another goal that is to be reached is that every resident can have a maximum distance of 15 minutes (walking of course) from his home park ... so we must be surrounded by green! I want a house too so ..!

There were, then, some images of the Municipal Library of Amsterdam (the New Public Library Joe Coenen) ... even here, of course, the building is built for maximum performance in terms of energy efficiency. The funny thing (so to speak) for the Italians is that Amsterdam has ruled that by 2015 (including only 5 years ...!) all new buildings will be zero impact ... and everyone is happy about this! In the sense that there are people who will complain about the costs of new technologies may be higher ... they realized that they are not costs, but long-term investments ... in the Netherlands are proud of this mentality. Just a few months ago I had a coiquilina Dutch and one day told me how she missed her here BIKE Milan ... then and there I thought I did not understand her English ... but I said something crazy ... that its parts the bike is almost a sacred object (six out if you do not use the bike!) Amsterdam ... because there are over 400 km of cycle track! I honestly believe that this summer a bit exaggerated ... but the exhibition at the Triennale has given me confirmation of this staggering (positive) ... Padova-Milano 400 kilometers round trip of bike paths ... (according to my roommate, not very safe ... as in Milan, where anarchy - especially the taxi is everywhere)!

It's easy!

There was a electrolux dishwashers (www.greenspirit.it) that works without connecting to the mains, combining a hydrogen generator to a fuel cell (ehm. .. to tell the truth I'm pretty ignorant in this field and I plan to try to learn something more about these things that fascinate me so much!). Thanks to this and other Electrolux has received the Sustainable Energy Award by the European Commission ... and believe it!

And you know something beautiful? Trend Group SpA (the manufacturer) is to Vicenza! Not just Italian pride ... but, I also pride Venetian!! :) http://www.trend-vi.com/

Conclusion: This shows I just put in a good mood ... and 'recharging the power of innovation. It makes you feel that you are in a flow of positive energy that does evolve humanity destination ... Future! It is not a concept so obvious ... because when I see "my" beach in Sicily treated as a real open dump, the sensation is that of being on a huge treadmill that seems to inevitably turn away from the destination Future ...
Great Triennale, as always!
PS: The only flaw of this exhibition is the cost of the catalog is far too long ... 50 €! How do the poor young students like me? Too bad, I've left my heart in that book, I wanted at all costs. (
