This is one of the data in the report "The impact of plastic bags on the marine environment" created by Arpa Toscana and the structure of oceanographic Daphne Arpa Emilia Romagna at the request of Legambiente. Il rapporto, che sintetizza i principali studi scientifici sull’inquinamento da plastica in mare, potrà essere un utile contributo per il Ministero dell’Ambiente che dovrà rispondere alla richiesta di chiarimenti della Commissione europea sul bando italiano degli shopper. Sono queste, infatti, le motivazioni di carattere ambientale che possono consentire all’Italia di giustificare ogni ipotesi di violazione della Direttiva europea sugli imballaggi.
