Some time ago I found myself in a discussion on Facebook about the restoration of the Terme del Corallo in Livorno.
after some time I would take inspiration from that discussion to talk about restoration, a delicate discipline that covers architects and preservation of historical heritage, and I think I will take up this subject in a series of posts.
In this post I will speak of my feelings about Acuna Restoration of monuments and archaeological sites that I have seen up close during a few trips I made.

In this period there have been several important members of this dsciplina, each of them has made some innovative concepts and theories in the field, but there has never been an objective view and that general area.

In short, our architectural heritage have been part of this discipline and multiple interventions almost always contradict each other. Nowadays it is practically difficult to find an architectural work well restored, unfortunately there are also half of political and economic conflicts, which create more problems around this framework.
But now we begin to talk about the Liberty complex of Terme del Corallo in Livorno, which I mentioned at the beginning, like many an example of an artifact storico fatiscente del nostro Paese, abbandonato a se stesso.
