Foursquare and good causes
foursquare I'm going to talk about on this blog and do it for what I consider a valid reason.
Just the other day I found out foursquare It has been created on a venue (one page, for non-addicted 4SQ) called "free wi-fi in Italy, location-aware at the Parliament in Rome.
E 'of the last day the last attempt to change the Pisanu decree which makes it very difficult to spread of wi-fi reception. The reasoning behind the decree and 'tied to issues of security and terrorism ... but it' s well known that in Europe the spread of wi-fi and open 'to 5 times higher than in Italy. Not to mention Israel. A country that the problems of terrorism has certainly more than we do. A country where, unlike Italy, the security systems are not based on "repression" of the network (in our bureaucracy does everything to put a spoke in the wheel who would like to open networks).
Well, someone (Luca Alagna) and we 'invented a way, in my opinion, alternative and creative people to express their desire to change the Pisanu Law. By checking up foursquare on "free wi-fi in Italy" you can 'automatically send an email to all your contacts foursquare and you can share the initiative is on twitter and on facebok.
It does not matter if I check in saying that I am in Rome before the Parlamaneto, when in fact they are in Milan, Palermo and Japan. E 'for a good cause!
Perhaps someone will say that this is' wrong. But I, who at this moment I write with my iPad live from SMAU, I think it is more wrong that this decree still continue to hinder the development potential of many small ICT reality I'm seeing here. Do not be offended anyone, but I think that only technological innovation could pull the development and recovery after a crisis.
Without broadband access is not going anywhere. I continue to say and write all. But who could change things did not 'have done.
Who knows, maybe (maybe really!) Parliamentary some (but not only) will check in by area of \u200b\u200bthe Parliament and also discover the existence of this initiative. A sort of "petition to be signed" in the advanced version, version of social. Maybe will help a little, but surely help to ensure that people like me do critical mass.
What are you waiting now? Go and check in!
