Design for All I Details make the difference. Always. Spam on
After almost two months back to write on this blog. And I get to write about what mainly inspired me to create this space: the design.
Last week in Milan was the ' Innovation Festival and I could never even miss the appointment because, among other forms of innovation are present, not could be lacking that applied to the design.
What has always fascinated me the design has always been its ability to make beautiful and easy to any object. To everyone, not just the 'average man. "
Well, the meeting "In praise of diversity " I did remind the audience that many design is not only one with exorbitant prices that you see in Milan near Brera and Corso Monforte, is what can make life better everyone, without distinction, even with a touch of aesthetic beauty.
" Design for All can turn diversity into an asset " was the subtitle of the meeting and one of objects that has captivated those present for his ability to see diversity as a resource has a handle.
Yes, just a handle.
Who has the ball for the design knows the details, even the most seemingly insignificant, to make a difference. Always.
Well, the handle LEONARDO (by Fabrizio Bianchetti - Ghidini design) has an unusual shape, stretched, that does not go unnoticed. And this makes it perfectly usable by any user (the design must be for all, no?), By a child, an adult, a senior, a man standing, as well as by a man in a wheelchair.
This handle is also a detail that really enhances the object-door .. who is that is generally the case with a normal handle on a door? Hardly anyone (except me being a pathological case for the design ..). Instead, the design simple, elegant and sinuous lines of the project LEONARDO brings innovation to the delicate, but more and more present, the issue of accessibility, eliminating any kind of barrier, psychological, linked to diversity.
I know this is not a subject to which we often think. But I think it is imperative to give voice to the need for everyone, not just those of the mass.
And then I like to handle this a lot!
Long live the design, especially created to improve life, not just to be looked at lightly.
Special Mention in this post to Roberto Vitali, president of Village For All (sustainable tourism). If you happen to pass by here, congratulations for the great action!
